Rick Steves on My Birthday?

After a good sleep in, a documentary about an Afghan American Idol, a nice long read,  a fine dinner out, and a renaissance Christmas performance by the Tallis Scholars, we came home to find a Rick Steves Marathon on our local public radio station.

Could this be the best birthday ever?

  1. Happy birthday! We are major Rick Steves nerds and own all of his shows on DVD. I think Kevin does get a little irked when I say things such as "Rick says to avoid going to (fill in the blank) on Tuesdays," though. Sounds like a pretty good birthday to me!

  2. I'm so glad to find another Rick Steves fan! You'd really have to be to live in Italy , I think :)

    Thanks for the warm wishes!

  3. Whooooaaaa...back up Sally. I had no idea it was your birthday, or we would have celebrated Kronmiller style for sure! So sorry I didn't know! Happy Birthday Brooke!

  4. Glad to hear your birthday was so agreeable! I had to remind myself on our visit to paris last year to not bury my nose entirely in our Rick Steve's guide and actually enjoy the city for myself. Guilty! I've never seen his shows... maybe that's a good thing?

  5. Happy belated birthday! I'm a little jealous that you got to hear the Tallis Scholars, but I'm glad you were able to enjoy them on your birthday!

  6. Happy belated birthday!

I meant to comment on your blog last week after our bond session in the freezing cold and obviously never did, so thank you for finding my blog!

The second day of class was crazy! We played lots of games, and then got to experience what a first day of class might be like as our instructor conducted a session in Russian. It was tough!

Dinner at the burger shack sounds like a plan! I am looking forward to getting to know you better (and to listen to our hubbies carry on a conversation in arabic). In the mean time, Merry Christmas!!
