Busy Busy

Even though 99% of our stuff has already been packed up (including all of Max's socks and t-shirts...woops) I am still busy busy as we prepare to leave DC on Saturday.  There's the last minute tailoring and dry cleaning, insurance getting, paper work filling out and friends seeing.

And did I mention that I'm finishing my thesis this semester?  If you "eaked"after reading that, then you and I did the same thing just then.  The good news is, I'm almost finished!  I will submit all of my work to my supervisor by April 13th (hopefully before) and If all goes well I'll graduate on May 28th with a Masters in Library and Information Science.  Max has assured me that he will not feel threatened by my higher level of education and my theoretical ability to earn more than him.

I think I can crank out the last bit before we leave on Saturday.

I have definitely earned at least a day at the hamman in morocco and perhaps even a fun European weekend of my choosing.  Any suggestions?

What else have I been doing in my "free time"?
 Carving lino-cuts and making prints.

Everybody needs a release, right?

This is my first go at it, but I hope to make
many more.

  2. If I didn't like you so much I'd be threatened by just about all of your accomplishments and abilities. :)

  3. Well, Milan is lovely, and I'm sure one of the low-cost airlines probably flies directly here from there.
I think "Ack!" is my word on the thesis news, but good luck! Are you going to become a Foreign Service Specialist with your fancy library degree?

  6. Gosh, you guys are making me blush! Thanks for the positive vibes - I need it for this last stretch : )

I have actually thought about becoming a specialist, but I think I will be working at the State Department library at post for now. We'll see. Maybe I'll just float around with my husband and pick up what I can. Freelance librarianship...hhmmm...

  8. Brookie - if there is government shutdown what will that mean to you two? Inquiring minds want to know. Would it be like waiting for your VISA at the MTC? :) Can't wait to you see both.

  10. I'm sorry I couldn't come to the second VHS soccer game, but I'm so glad that I got to see you before you left. You and Max look amazing and I'm so impressed with you two! So happy and excited to go and do. You are an inspiration to this girl who never left the home of the Vikings...because you are going and living the dream and because you are so happy in the face of tough choices. Love you to pieces. Travel safe and I can't wait to read the first blog from Morocco!!!
